A VISIT TO SISTER JUDY'S HOUSE AT CHRISTMASTIME.

TO CHEER JUDY UP WE WENT SHOPPING AT HOBBY LOBBY FOR A CHRISTMAS DOOR DECORATION.

IT IS SUITABLE TO LEAVE UP ALL WINTER.

I FOUND SOME POINSETTIAS IN HER CLOSET AND STUCK THEM IN THE CROCK. CHRISTMAS!

FOUND THIS PRECIOUS LITTLE GOLD TREE  ON  SALE FOR HALF PRICE $5.00! YEAH!

SISTER JUDY TURNS IT ON EVERY MORNING AND ENJOYS HER SPECIALTY COFFEE WHILE LOOKING AT IT AND LISTENING TO  CHRISTMAS MUSIC. IT'S STILL DARK OUTSIDE!

NORMALLY THERE IS LIVE GREENERY AND DECORATIONS AND  CHRISTMAS PILLOWS BUT THIS YEAR JUST ARTIFICIAL GREENERY

AND THIS IS WHY. HER HUSBAND BOB HAS BEEN VERY SICK AND IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A MONTH. PICTURED HERE IS HER GREAT GRANDSON RYDER IN HIS DOCTOR GARB  LISTENING TO  HIS GRANDPA'S  HEART?

DOCTOR RYDER'S  DIAGNOSIS - - - SICK!

THE FAMILY DECIDED TO BE TOGETHER WE WOULD EAT THANKSGIVING DINNER AT A GOLDEN CORRAL CLOSE TO THE HOSPITAL. SO AT 11:00 AM IN LINE THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE!  IT WAS VERY COLD TOO!
 .
BUT WE GOT A PLACE TO SIT TOGETHER EVEN THOUGH WE HAD TO VISIT OVER THE BACK OF THE BOOTHS!

WE WON'T FORGET THIS UNUSUAL THANKSGIVING!

I TOOK A BREAK ONE DAY AND VISITED ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES, BARNES & NOBLE WHICH WAS PRACTICALLY NEXT DOOR.  GOT A YUMMY COFFEE AND LOOKED AT BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS  ISSUES!

OOPS!

JUDY CHANGES THE DRESS FOR THE SEASONS! THE TOP BIRD HOUSE HAS BEEN CHANGED THIS PAST WEEK TO A LIGHTED CHRISTMAS HOUSE!

HUSBAND MAURICE HAS BEEN CARING FOR THEIR DOG VICTORIA DOWN AT THE FARM ALONG WITH OUT DOG TASHA TILL THINGS CALM DOWN . BOB IS NOW HOME WITH HOSPICE COMING IN DAILY.  I HAVE BEEN STAYING WITH JUDY A LOT THRU ALL OF THIS

ONCE VICTORIA GOT OVER BEING FRIGHTENED OF THE BED SHE HAD LOADS OF KISSES FOR HER DADDY!
.

THE PICTURE SAYS IT ALL!

THEN BACK TO THE FARM TO STAY WITH TASHA AND MAURICE. AS VICTORIA HAD JUST COME FROM THE GROOMERS AND SPORTED A CHRISTMAS BANDANA I HAD TO CUT OUT A FAST ONE FOR TASHA TOO! MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIENDS AND BLESSINGS ON YOU!

  1. Oh, Marynne! I've missed you - and now I know why. I will be thinking of your sister and her entire family. Seems this holiday season is "different" for MANY of us. The significance and meaning of them come to the front while all the "fluff" fades--at least that's what is happening for me.

I'm not doing a lot of extra this year, but your mention of Barnes and Noble prods me to add that to my list. A cup of special holiday coffee and an hour or two of browsing through Christmas issues of magazines would be a splendidly relaxing way to spend an afternoon!

  3. Dealing with a Health Crisis during the Holidays can be a particular strain. My Dad was in Hospice around Thanksgiving years ago and we opted as a Family to eat out for Thanksgiving Dinner that year, it turned out to be a New Tradition we adopted and still Enjoy to this day. Having the Love and Support of Family and Friends during this difficult time will make all the difference to your Sister and her Family. God Bless you all as you deal with Dignity and Grace with a 'different' and unusual Holiday. Hugs and Prayers from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
