"TODAY IS A GOOD DAY FOR A GOOD DAY!"

A request came for a painting with this quote for his girlfriend so I gave him a choice. This one or -

Or this one.

Shopping for $.97 Fat Quarters at Walmart is as much fun  as I remember  picking out Penny Candy being!

After another couple of night stays at Comfort Inn I decided to write a poem and paint a picture and send it them to express our gratitude.

I was delighted to get an e-mail back expressing there kind thoughts and saying they had posted it in the break room for all their employees to see an had sent a copy on to the corporate office. Will be neat to see if I hear back from them too!

This month my friend Hope and I showed the resident as the local Health Care Facility how to make Fluffy Barn Owls. They really enjoyed the project!

 Two proud participants!
They turned out really cute!

"Plein Air Bathing" is my 2nd entry in the Harrisonville Fine Art Members Only Show in July 8-12

"Wildflower Memories" was sold in a silent auction last night at the Cass Regional Medical Center Foundations Fundraiser.

I was pleased with its location and  it's sale price!
Fun was had by all!   I also welcome you on over to my second blog:www.mcreatesdaily.blogspot.com and my Marlynne Snare Folk Artist facebook page.

SUMMER FUN

"Happy Throne Day" is my newest birthday card.  I usually take my paintings to Kinko and have 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" copies run off. Then I cut then out and paste on to card stock.

Loved this old farm truck in a magazine picture. It looks almost like one that is in a lean-to by a restaurant where we eat .

Another pretty old picture that will inspire a painting some day!

Celebrating Husband Maurices's 78th Birthday and Father's Day with Son Paul  and Great grandson Eli.

Tracee grilled the whole dinner right here! It was de-li-cious!

Tracee and Paul have worked hard turning their yard into a beautiful outdoor eating area!

The screened  in back porch is another lovely eating area!

Isn't this pretty?

I finished this 8" X 10" painting today of the little cabin on the lot where we love to stay in Augusta, Mo. Hope you are enjoying your summer also!  You might also enjoy my other blog wwwmcreatesdaily.blogspot.com  and my facebook site Marlynne Snare Folk Artist

CELEBRATING WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN MOTHER'S 100TH BIRTHDAY

Our project on the trip (we always have one) was to make a collage honoring Mother's 100th Birthday. This was my journal page, then we both made one on canvas.

This is the poem I wrote for the occasion.

We planned a trip which we felt Mother would have really enjoyed! First stop was at Smith's Restaurant in Collins, Mo. where We had breakfast with part of our Sandgren Cousins. (There mother and our mother though cousins were raised like sisters.)

Somehow this picture got out of order! We met first with our cousins David and Virginia and then coming back we had lunch with these cousins; Tommy and Janie and Eric and Peggy

Our absolutely favorite place in Branson is Big Cedar Lodge with a buffet breakfast at the Devils Pool Restaurant.

They've recently built this picturesque covered bridge which we drive through when we exit.

This is our choice seating when the table in front of the large fireplace is occupied! You probably recognie my husband Maurice and sister Judy.

One of the beautiful flower beds on the grounds!

We met up with Judy's high school friend Kathy and had a fun day shopping at eating in Ozark, Mo.

Such fun Junk/Antique shops!

We chose The Texas Tenors as our show. I think one of the very best in Branson! We had a great time! It was good for all of us to get away from our daily responsibilities for a weekend!
