I GOT MY RED BOOTS!

Part of my belated Christmas and Birthday gifts from my son and husband.  I prayed I'd make the right purchases today and I did! They are so comfortable I shopped in them all day!

59 years ago today on George Washington's Birthday a very ardent freshman from Jr. College in K. C., Mo. took a very much in love Paseo High School senior to Goldman's Jewelry at 10th or 11th & Main to pick out engagement and wedding rings.  And We're still Celebrating!

School time with great grandson Eli and Grandma.

He just loves to learn!  Such a precious little man!  Hope you'll visit my other blog too: www.mcreatesdaily.blogspot.com

BOHEIMIAN VALENTINES ARE IN THE MAIL!

I've had so much fun making these hearts for family and friends!

I started with a little package of Kaffe Fassett  fabrics. Then cut them in strips and sewed them randomly together.  Next cut out a cardboard heart as pattern and cut away!

I tried to show a close up so you could see the strips of Sari silks and laces sewn to the hearts.

And the embellishments of pieces of jewelry. I keep a bag of discarded jewelry, then take them apart to use on different projects.

February is my Birthday Month, so have been having fun Celebrating.  Although with the bad weather we have been having the "Partying" has been spread out more than usual!

THREE CUPS OF EARL GREY TEA + MORE CREATING

I sent this tea picture + the following 2 to the delightfully new Daphne's Diary English Magazine as per request.  This tea cup was from a favorite set of dishes used in the past. The cheerful little "Tea Cosy" and fabric flowers add a friendly touch to the morning tea table.

The Currier & Ives tea cup and saucer from my everyday dishes is filled with hot Earl Grey tea . The dishes were a promotional item at a grocery store years ago. I think the  Folk Art Chickens and vintage linens add a cozy look to the tea table

Tea is served more formally in a  "Historic America" cup and saucer from our "good dishes" left to us in my husband's Mother's will. I made the little arrangement of button flowers years ago.

I looked at this basket quilt block one day and decided it could be so much cuter filled with flowers. So that's what happened!

It has become one of my favorite pillows! Here it is on on of my (sorry) dusty kitchen shelves).

"Mr Cool" eating his favorite breakfast- scrambled eggs. We are caring for great grandson Eli while Momma works until she can get a place and childcare set up. She lives in our Cottage up the drive so they are here most of the time. He brings a lot of joy into our lives even though it keeps us busier than we would like.
