I've had so much fun making these hearts for family and friends! |
I started with a little package of Kaffe Fassett fabrics. Then cut them in strips and sewed them randomly together. Next cut out a cardboard heart as pattern and cut away! |
I tried to show a close up so you could see the strips of Sari silks and laces sewn to the hearts. |
And the embellishments of pieces of jewelry. I keep a bag of discarded jewelry, then take them apart to use on different projects. |
February is my Birthday Month, so have been having fun Celebrating. Although with the bad weather we have been having the "Partying" has been spread out more than usual! |
They are lovely Marlynne.Enjoy your birthday month.xx
ReplyDeleteI saw your comment on Bohemian Vahalla & decided to check out your Precious Cottage! Be assured, I will be back. Didn't have time to scroll down too far or check out your other blog, but every creative juice in me(not that I have too many....only visions all kinds of stuff) was stimulated. I believe you are living my dream :)
ReplyDeleteI have many, many misc. pieces of Currier & Ives and recently dispensed of 12 extra cups and saucers, so of course yours caught my eye....
Oh how wonderful!! What a fun gift to receive. I too keep jewelry for this type of purpose.
